No guarantees of winning, but these strategies can help you play in a more structured and disciplined way
Since Banker carries a slightly lower house edge (1.06% vs. 1.24%), many serious players bet exclusively on Banker throughout their session. While it may seem uneventful, it's the most statistically sound approach.
Many Malaysian players use the Road Map to track patterns — if Banker wins three times in a row, they keep betting on Banker until the streak breaks. Keep in mind: no pattern is guaranteed to continue, but this strategy helps you stay focused.
Bet the same amount every round — for example, RM 20 each time with no increase or decrease. This protects your balance from sharp drops and lets you play longer with the same bankroll.
Over 4 consecutive rounds, bet according to a 1-3-2-4 ratio of your base unit. For example, with a RM 10 unit: RM 10, RM 30, RM 20, RM 40. If you lose at any round, start over from the beginning.
Before sitting down at a table, set a win limit (e.g. stop when you're up RM 200) and a loss limit (stop when you're down RM 100). This discipline matters more than any betting strategy.
While the 8:1 payout looks attractive, the probability is just 9.52% with a house edge of 14.36% — making it one of the worst bets in the casino. Avoid it as a primary bet; only place it occasionally as a side wager if you're feeling adventurous.
If you were to sit down at any kopitiam in Kuala Lumpur or Penang and ask a group of online casino enthusiasts about their favourite game, chances are the answer would be "baccarat". This isn't a new phenomenon in the region — baccarat has long been deeply embedded in gambling culture across Southeast Asia, and Malaysia is no exception.
What makes baccarat so appealing to Malaysian players in particular? First and foremost, it's easy to understand. Unlike poker, which demands deep strategy and years of experience, baccarat essentially comes down to three choices — Player, Banker, or Tie. There's no need to memorise complex hand combinations or worry about game-changing decisions. This makes it perfect for players looking to try a live casino for the very first time.
Welcome 88 understands that Malaysian players don't just want a game that works — they want an experience that's genuinely enjoyable. That's why our platform partners with the world's leading live casino providers to ensure HD video streaming quality, professional and friendly dealers, and a table environment that mirrors what you'd find at a five-star physical casino.
The baccarat tables at welcome 88 run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — non-stop. Whether you feel like playing first thing in the morning before work or winding down late at night after a long day, there's always a table open for you.
